Waste not, want not

There is a huge shift in our community thinking that is pulling us to global consciousness. Dr. Oz is talking about Energy Healing. Oprah has recommended us a book about new community thinking and the law of materialization. Even Ty from Trading spaces is getting entire communities to help those less fortunate among themselves. Commercials are showing "pay if forward thinking". Maybe there is hope for humanity after all. If we get rid of all the negative energy by doing our part will we stop murder in the schools? will we prevent abuse? By truly caring for those around us will the world be a better place....you can count on it.

My friends Bob & Lori have started a blog here about their pact to not buy anything new for 1 year. It must be used. It's in an effort to simplify their lives and change the way they consume things.

This is the backbone of what I do. Change, resurface, reuse items that are perfectly fine but maybe just need updating. No that doesn't support the big money makers who perpetuate that bigger is better and newer is most acceptable. But I am doing my part to save the planet and save the trees. i wish I could change the granite industry....But that's another matter.

I am working on kitchen refacing job. We are repainting and changing the cabinets in this Kitchen.

I'll be painting then staining them. It will be a dramatic change and we are recycling those Sturdy Oak cabinets.
