Making a pounce & pattern

I needed to make a mirror image of this design I free-handed on the wall. I thought I was so smart just use tracing paper and graphite paper and transfer it. So I did. Nothing---- not one mark. So I tried waxed blue paper for fabric...Nothing. I needed a pounce and a pounce pattern...Need to make one in a hurry...Times a wastin!

So being the creative person that my momma made me...

I cut up scrap t-shirt material, I found in my son's drawer (don't worry the shirt was about three sizes too small) 8x8 about, two layers, hunks of batting (I used gift box padding, the kind that is in jewelry boxes...(I said I was in a hurry) then I poured in some powdered pigment (you could use baby powder for dark walls) into to the t-shirt material then added the batting then pulled up the edges and made a pounce. I used hair binder to tie it off. I happen to have bought a pounce tool (small tool with a tiny wheel with spikes to punch little holes in your paper) last week in Florida. Handy little devices. Pounced my pattern and it worked like a charm. Painted over my lines and a perfect mirror image.

Now to work on the ceiling....and the side walls and the dining room.....Gonna be a busy weekend.
