Had to share

I just saw a beautiful Granny squares blanket under construction at Posey gets cozy blog. and I wanted to share this with you, my Great Grandmother's version. She had a love for deep rich colors.

I love how she used brown to set off the other colors. It really glows 75+ years after its construction. I hope the things I make last this long...

She used alot of pink. It's a wonder because she had boys...and from what i hear she was very proper and proud. But I can tell she had a great sense of color and passion.
Hat's off to you Great grandma Bonne!

Came over from your comment at Posie Gets Cozy - it really is a great afghan! I think a lot of us remember them only with the acrylic yarns and color sensibilities of the 1970s, so it's really great to see other examples.
